LAN Screen Mirroring

LAN Screen Mirroring — View Your PC in Any Browser, Over WiFi

CastAngel mirrors your Windows PC screen to any browser on the same local network — no app install on the viewer, no cloud relay, no internet required. Open a URL and get full screen, mouse, keyboard, and clipboard control. Because everything stays on your LAN, your screen never passes through a third-party server.

How LAN screen mirroring works

Step 1: Run CastAngel on the PC

Double-click the CastAngel executable on the Windows PC you want to view. It starts a local WebSocket server and shows you a URL like http://192.168.1.2:12377.

Step 2: Open the URL on any device

On your phone, tablet, or another PC — any device on the same WiFi — open that URL in a browser. No app to install, no plugin, no extension.

Step 3: Full screen, mouse, keyboard, clipboard

You get the full PC screen with real-time mouse, keyboard, and clipboard control. Close the tab when you're done — CastAngel keeps running in the tray.

Why it's different from cloud-based mirroring

No cloud relay — data stays on your LAN

Tools like TeamViewer or Chrome Remote Desktop route your screen through their servers. CastAngel doesn't. Your screen data flows directly between your devices on your local network. No third party can see it.

No app to install on the viewer

The viewing device only needs a browser. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge — they all work. There's nothing to download or install on the phone or tablet you're viewing from.

Works without internet

Because CastAngel uses your local network only, it works even when your internet is down. As long as your devices are on the same WiFi, screen mirroring works.

What you can do

Full-screen view with real-time mouse and keyboard input. Clipboard sharing between devices. Delta-compressed frames for smooth performance even on slower WiFi. Works on Windows 7 SP1 through Windows 11, 32-bit and 64-bit.

FAQ

Does the screen data leave my network?

No. All screen data stays on your local network. CastAngel does not transmit to any cloud or third-party server.

Which browsers are supported?

Any modern browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. The viewer doesn't need any plugin or extension.

What's the latency?

Typically under 100ms on a healthy local network. CastAngel uses delta-compressed frames tuned for responsiveness over slow links.
