About CastAngel — Privacy First, Cloud Free
CastAngel exists for a simple reason: we wanted to mirror a screen and send files without handing our data to a cloud company. Most tools today route everything through remote servers — we don't. CastAngel works entirely on your local network. No accounts, no tracking, no servers between you and your devices. That's not a feature; that's the whole point.
Why we built CastAngel
Every screen mirroring tool we tried — TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Chrome Remote Desktop — sends your screen through their servers. Every file transfer tool — WeTransfer, Google Drive — uploads your files to the cloud first. We wanted something simpler: just show my screen on my other device, over my WiFi, without anyone in the middle. That's CastAngel.
Our privacy promise
No cloud servers
CastAngel does not route your screen or files through any external server. All data stays on your local network. There is no relay, no proxy, no middleman.
No data collection
No telemetry, no usage analytics, no crash reports. The application does not phone home. Your machine identifier is shown only to you and never transmitted to us during normal operation.
No accounts or tracking
No email to sign up, no account to create, no cookies to track you. CastAngel doesn't know who you are, and it doesn't need to.
What CastAngel does NOT do
CastAngel does not: send your screen to the cloud, upload your files to a server, collect your personal data, require an internet connection, require an account, install background services, or run at boot (unless you opt in). It's a single executable that runs when you want it and stops when you close it.
